CWR Midterm Conference in Malmö

On October 22,the PRO-WILD project holds a Crop Wild Relative (CWR) midterm conference together with its sister projects COUSIN and FruitDiv. The conference is organised as a side session on day two of the "Seeds of Resilience Conference 2026" in Malmö, Sweden.

The conference that will take place in Malmö on 21-23 October will bring together leading researchers, decision-makers, and young scientists to safeguard the seeds and crop diversity that are essential for future food security. 

This year, one of the sessions focuses on the phenotyping and characterization of Crop Wild Relatives as genetic resources. Researchers from PRO-WILD will also attend the Seeds of Resilience Conference and share insights from their work. 

The CWR Midterm Conference

On day two of the conference, the PRO-WILD midterm conference will take place. Together with speakers from the sister projects COUSIN and FruitDiv, this exchange will provide a key opportunity for PRO-WILD to discuss its progress and to further develop research strategies.
