Curiosity is growing!

A few months ago, our partners at CREA Ricerca sent out the first PRO-WILD seed packets, inviting teachers, students, and plant enthusiasts to grow wild and modern wheat side by side and observe the differences between them.

Since then, we've been delighted to receive photos and updates from people who took part in the experiment. Seeing the plants grow — and the enthusiasm — is exactly what PRO-WILD hopes to inspire: curiosity about plants and a closer connection to the diversity that supports our food systems.
Keep your eyes open for future opportunities to join in when the next round of seed packets becomes available. And in the meantime, why not try planting something new — perhaps an old variety or even a crop wild relative?
